“First time stay here and was pleasantly surprised at how the interior is not what you would expect from the exterior. It is every bit as nice as a similar resort in the area and a lot less expensive for a room. It makes up for a lesser view with the amenities and beautiful grounds. The dinner in the dining room was very tasty and reasonably priced. The room was good sized and comfortable. We did pay for spa services, and although they are a bit pricey the staff was great.”

“As always, I enjoyed my stay at this hotel very much. It was originally built by the railroad in the early 1900s to house railroad employees, and recently was very tastefully remodeled and updated. The staff are kind and helpful, the food is good, and they have a nice selection of beer and wine. They do have a single refrigerator for guests in the lobby, but it's small and if the hotel is busy it might be insufficient. I personally would like to see the same size refrigerator in each room, but……

“Room was very gross. I don’t think this place should be in business. I blew up my air mattress and stayed because I would’ve payed twice as much somewhere else because I had my dog. ”

“Bathroom Ok equipped. Lacking washclothes, conditioner etc. Kitchen was great. Overall cleanliness was ok, floors and bathroom vent van were dirty. Host was very nice and helpful. ”

“We never got to stay at the hotel. They called us in the way there and cancelled our weekend due to a ‘ room emergency’. Then we began a nightmare of calls trying to get our refund being bounced between Expedia who told us to call VBRO who would promptly tell us to call Expedia. What a nightmare! I’m still waiting for the hotel GM to return my calls. ”

“I truly enjoyed my stay in this beautiful setting. My only complaint is, when booking a room thru a 3rd party one doesn't know of all the add-on charges they will get charged. I was charged an additional 70 for parking, ground maintenance, and other general stuff. What a surprise.”

“Very nice hotel. We were unable to book a massage but we used the mineral pools. Very relaxing. Went back to the room and our tv didn’t work. They were unable to fix. It wasn’t that important, we were tired and had our phones. The big disappointment was our dinner. The dining area and bar was nice but we were very disappointed with our meals. We opted to leave early and not to eat breakfast there. ”
