“This. Place. Is. Awesome! The pictures do not do it justice. Amazing location far from civilization. Great place to go to unplug. I wish we would have had more time to spend there but we were just passing through and only stayed one night. Whether you want to do your best impersonation of Henry David Thoreau or get back to basics with the kids you cannot go wrong with this property. The owner is a really nice guy as well. ”

“Everything from beginning to end was exceptional. Communication with the host/owner was easy and always promptly responded to. The cabin is fantastic. It has everything you need. So comfortable and inviting. Very quiet and relaxing. We were blessed to see to young fawns in the yard one morning. Thank you so much for sharing this beautiful piece of heaven. ”

“We had a great time here. It’s close to Abingdon, Damascus, and the Creeper Trail. My wife went down and had a wonderful time kayaking on the water with her kayak. The kitchen had everything we needed and the Blackstone was a hit with the kids for multiple meals. Looking forward to returning!”

“The Huckleberry Cabin was very cozy and nicely decorated. It was rustic and true to its original build in the 1800’s with modern upgrades. Walking through the front door was like stepping back in time. Great place to stay to get off the grid and reconnect with nature or unplug from the computer, but also close enough to town if you need supplies. ”

“My partner, and and our 17 yo daughter enjoyed a week at this cabin. The kitchen was well-appointed, the living room and front porch was very comfortable. The view and access to the New River was fabulous. Even two neighborhood dogs came by for multiple visits.”

“One of the best places I've stayed with my family, hands down! My kids spent most of the day catching crawfish and lizards in the creek. We got close with one of the neighbors and it made the trip a million times better. Not only did i feel at home with my kids (hard for me), but i made lifelong memories with my family. The host is great and will help with everything they can”

Thanks for letting us stay in your beautiful home. For future guests, the instructions say not to leave food in your car. That's a good rule and I'm glad our car was already unloaded.”

“The best part for us was the quiet, privacy, and view that allowed us to relax. The cute cabin was clean and comfortable. There were plenty of linens and the kitchen was sufficiently stocked. The two porches had an amazing view. The walk down to the lake on the well-constructed stairs and landings to the dock was a hidden gem. We even caught some fish and would like to return again.”
