“Overall a great stay. Staff friendly and helpful. Excellent breakfasts. Hotel is a little tired, but rooms clean and bed comfortable. Location perfect for Aldeburgh town and beachfront. Parking is free at the hotel or on the roads outside. ”

“Room was small and a bit dated but a large balcony and we were lucky with the sunshine so we did sit out for a while each day. It would be beautiful in the summer ! That said the hotel is lovely, comfortable with lots of lively places to sit and read. The food is excellent - fantastic meal three courses for 33 pounds and well worth it. We would stay again and Aldeburgh is just lovely !!”

Stated: There was a bedroom - there wasn’t There was a kitchen - there wasn’t Two double beds - there was one There was a range of kitchen equipment, crockery and cutlery, the in room information forbade cooking. The microwave oven is so low you have to kneel on the floor to use it. The refrigerator is tiny, too small to hold a bottle of wine. “The Hayloft is a lovely property. It is very stylishly appointed - an extremely comfortable bed, fab modern bathroom and a small kitchen area for preparing breakfast. It’s very well located for visiting the Suffolk coast. Wickham Market has a a decent sized supermarket for provisions, a really good fish and chip shop and the Bengal Indian Restaurant was one of the best we have eaten at. “Great location, extremely convenient to Summerhill and downtown Leiston. 10 minute taxi from Saxmundham train station. Book a cab in advance, as many cab “companies” are just a single driver and waits can be long when it’s busy. Host offers a variety of cereal in the morning. Some rooms are up a steep flight of stakes, and host offered help carrying suitcases upstairs. Mattress was on the bouncier side which you may find uncomfortable if sharing the bed.
