Hythe Hideaway

We had a super stay at The Boat House in Hythe. The location is wonderful, right on the water for fabulous views and right next to the town for shopping and eating.

Excellent again

Our annual trip, the property has had a few upgrades since last year. We had great weather, but even if it's raining the view over Southampton Water is all you really need!

Great stay again

Great property, fantastic view over the comings and goings into Southampton. Good place to use as a base for exploring. 3rd time we've stayed, I'm sure we'll be back.

Amazing property , beautiful views

Property was amazing and got a bit addicted to watching ships coming and going. Great location with plenty of shops and eateries within 2 mins walk.

Excellent location for a winter break

Our second visit - and just as good in winter as in May. Always something to see moving on Southampton Water, and also a good base for visits to other attractions. Waitrose is just across the road too!

Lovely home in Hythe

This home is in walking distance of shopping but very quiet and peacefull. We enjoyed sitting on the balcony watching the birds and seeing various ships leaving Southampton.

A lovely house with a great view

A nice comfortable house with a great view of Southampton Water. Well furnished and kitted out. There are a range of shops and restaurants (literally) across the road in Hythe, and the whole New Forest on your doorstep.

Relaxing week

We loved watching the traffic on Southampton Water. The house is in an ideal location for the Hythe ferry and the New Forest and we loved the close proximity of Waitrose and local restaurants

Awesome views and easy access to city and countryside!

Awesome views of the ships coming and going from the balconies plus easy access to the city and countryside! New forest is a 5 min drive and the town ferry station into the city is a 5 min walk from the property.

Unique Waterfront Property

A really unique location in a converted boathouse right on the waterfront. When not out and about we spent a happy time just sitting watching the tide come in and out with loads of bird-life and passing cruise linsers. Right by Waitrose for emergency shopping and very short walk to restaurants

Best location

This was our third stay, it's slightly quirky but all the better for it. The view is simply fantastic, always something to look at. Only the two of us so lots of room to spread out. Hythe is not your typical tourist trap and we find the locals, particularly in the pub and chippy, to be very friendly. Hope to be back!

Just beautiful.

Beautiful house on the Southampton Waters in which we were allowed to stay for 2 pleasant weeks. We enjoyed the house and the view very much.

The boathouse

We had another great stay at the boathouse..love this place .The views and activity right outside with all the cruise ships ,cargo ships ,ferries and also the train on the pier there’s never a dull moment . It’s great to sit in the lounge and watch the world go by ..

Great week away in lovely house .

We had a wonderful week in the Boat House with great weather. We loved watching the cruise ships coming and going . It was a very comfortable house . We would definitely come back .

A lovely house in a good position

The house is great, spread over three floors - two with bifold doors opening on to a balcony and the estuary beyond. Well stocked for kitchen and other equipment. Very clean and in good repair. A really enjoyable stay.

We had a marvellous stay in this fabulous property! Great location too!

This property was, for us, idyllic. Many hours looking out on the beautiful vista watching the ships come and go. We played off the jetty and chilled on the balconies. I can only imagine how stunning a thunder storm would be from there! Will definitely look to stay again.
