“The cottage was beautiful and we loved our week there. The setting was so quiet, peaceful and lovely. The location was ideal for our travel plans. It was so close to all the places we wanted to see. Almost anything we could have needed was there for us. The cottage was roomy, nicely decorated and furnished. The bed was comfortable and the heat worked well. “This was our first trip to Iceland, and our stay at Smalaskali was perfect! Location was great - far enough away to feel secluded, but close to Selfoss for shopping and dining, and close enough to make for a great base camp for excursions to the Golden Circle, Reykjavik, and a South Coast exploring drive. Cottage was well equipped, and the hot tub was perfect for relaxing after a long day of exploring.Laundry facilities were welcomed - note that it is a washer and not a washer/dryer combo, but……

“This unique building has very high quality furniture, bedding, and towels. Even robes are provided. The hot tub in the back yard is a highlight. Lots of windows let in the epic Icelandic landscape. When the wind pics up you feel cozy and comfortable with every convenience. There is a full sized washer AND dryer (great for families). The gas station is a 10 minute walk away and has all the basic groceries you need along with a small diner. If you are in the area, this is a great place to stay. ”

“This house is almost too good to be real, but it is. The pictures are not AI, this place actually looks like that! Our group stayed here for six nights and we could not have asked for a better experience. Each couple had their own suite and bathroom, which was perfect. The bedding was on point, the water pressure was great, and the ability to do laundry was a nice bonus. The views are stunning! The outdoor soaking tub was wonderful, especially in the early morning with a cup of coffee. It's rare……
