This condo has a large, screened in balcony facing the beach and the Gulf of Mexico. The décor is a tasteful and comfortable. Both bathrooms have been beautifully renovated with stunning all-tile showers. The updated, open kitchen has granite countertops, stainless steel appliances and comes fully equipped with all you need to prepare a delicious dinner or just breakfast for the family. Villa Madeira is within walking distance to restaurants, shops and other beach activities. Free internet service is available as well as free long distance calling to Canada and the USA. BEWARE!! BED BUGS!!

This unit was nicely updated but unfortunately had BED BUGS in the front Queen bedroom!! After a misdiagnosed urgent care visit we continued to stay in this unit. On the 5th day in this unit my friends (husband & wife) found several bugs crawlingon their pillows and bed. Resort Rentals office was called & they came out to inspect and said the soonest a exterminater could come would be Monday. We left fri night and were refunded our money,was great but the amount of mental anguish and physical bites(all over their bodies) is inexcusable! So after all the horrible bites we also had to pack ALL our stuff in plastic garbage bags and run the risk of infesting our cars and homes when we returned to Michigan! This poor couple had to stop twice on their way to Michigan to get treatment because their bites and turned into huge welts that were extremely itchy! They had to be put on antibiotics & steroids which interacted with some of their medications. A week later they are still traumatized by this whole mess and still have these horrible rashes!! Please,please, please if u are considering renting this unit make sure u contact the owner and make sure the carpeting in ALL of the bedrooms has been removed and replaced w tile like the rest of the unit!! I can guarantee u that carpet is INFESTED w bed bugs!! I dont care how many times u fumigate that unit if u dont remove that carpet and replace all the furniture in that rm there will still be BEDBUGS

Love location

The location is great. The condo was perfect for 4 adults and 2 kids. We would suggest a comfortable chair in the living room. It only had a couch and love seat. We really enjoyed the large balcony, but it would be nice to have a lounge chair to lay on out there. Would definitely rent again.

Bed bugs!!!

Overall, we had a nice vacation despite the fact our condo was infested with bed bugs to which we found toward the end of our stay after we noticed bites on us. We documented it and reached out to the property manager. Resort Rentals had an employee (Mike) come to our room and inspect the situation. He simply stated “sorry”, and that we would be taken care of and he would be in touch. We have yet to hear back about the situation and were forced to stay another night a condo of bed bugs. There was no immediate action taken about the matter nor was anything ever done for us to suit our comfort, leaving us to decontaminate all of our belongings. I highly do not recommend this place for stay.

Family vacation

We stayed here with four teenagers for a week. It was good to be right on the beach so everybody can come and go as they please. The location was ideal and it was nice being close to John’s Pass and Tampa for other activities.

Great Spot. Property Management non existent

Great spot. This is as close as you can get to the beach without sleeping in a sand dune. Family and I had a blast. However, some of the property management stuff (read: parts of the bed held together with duct tape) should give you pause. They never responded to my queries. But hey, you are on vacation - have fun with the spot. But don’t expect any action out of them once you are there.

Pleasant area

Over all the condo was very spacious and clean and cool. The location was close enough to grocery stores, restaurants and pier. On property it was very much a family friendly place, it was peaceful. Inside condo, we tend to cook it has some cooking supplies but needs update on coffee pot and non stick pans. We ended leaving a new one for next guests. Tvs worked in living and Master room. The only bad thing I can say is the Bed Matresses in all rooms were not comfortable! They are so worn out, hard and one in the bunk bed deeps down. It was hard to sleep. It would definitely look better with updated furniture.

Perfect fit for the family

It is hard to find accommodations for my big family where everyone has their own bed. This unit was a perfect fit. It also was very clean and nicely updated. We will rent this unit again!

Beach stay

Flooring and electric outlets needs to be addressed. The positive aspects were the proximity to the beach, the screened in balcony and the family environment. Renter need to be aware that they need to call ahead and reserve the umbrellas and chairs.

Renter beware pIctures can be deceiving

I was disappointed in the condition of this unit. The unit is run-down and needs updating. Bathroom vanities are old and not standard height. The smaller bathroom vanity door is about to come off its hinges. Bedroom with bunk beds: Light switches don't operate any lights. A very small lamp was on the dresser. Bedroom with twin bed: Has 2 lamps, one switch operated one smaller lamp. The larger lamp appeared broken; the bulb and its base was completely off of the lamp. Both these bedrooms needed ceiling lights with fans; rooms were too warm for sleeping. Both bedframes have broken wheels at the foot end. Dining room ceiling light/fan: Wall switch had a fan and light toggle switch. Could not operate fan from that switch. On arrival they were not set up to use on the wall switch. The fan and light pull chain are so short I had to use a step stool to reach them and I had to set-up for the wall switch. The kitchen fan: Fan did not turn on at all from the pull chain. I actually thought the fan was going to come down on my head. Dryer: It took 5 hours to dry towels. We learned after much wasted time to only dry one towel at a time. The washer and dryer are full size. Master bedroom-(shower/toilet room) light worked intermittently. Cleanliness: The unit was dirtier than it should have been. There was an odor of stale cigarettes which I found odd since they really have a strict No Smoking policy. The odor was confirmed when I found an ashtray on the balcony table. The carpet in the living room and bedrooms are dirty. I found a significant hairball on the living room carpet. The dishes, silverware, cooking pans, etc. needed cleaning. I didn't use any of these without washing them first. The oven is dirty; it looks like it was not wiped after running the clean cycle, there was ashy residue in the oven. The microwave door and the dining room table looked as if it was cleaned with a greasy towel. I did call about the dinning table, microwave and one drawer of dirty silverware. Someone came the next day after 10am and cleaned these items. I also showed her the broken lamp which she just re-perched back on the lamp?? It did light-up. There was a second drawer of dirty silverware I didn't discover until later; we just used the 1st drawer. Master bedroom only had a blanket without a flat sheet. It was too warm at times and it would of been nice if they had supplied a flat sheet. Bed linen had some questionable dirty areas.

Beautiful view

My husband and I stayed here in early May. We had a wonderful time and a fantastic view! The only thing I didn't like was that the master bedroom seemed quite warm at night. Perhaps a ceiling fan would help. Thanks to the owner for allowing us to change our dates. Madeira Beach is a lovely area.
