“Excellent! classic hotel with very beautiful restaurant ”

“The views from this tiny cabin were spectacular!!! My family of 4 were able to stay there comfortably for 2 nights, despite it being a tiny house. The hosts were great with communication, and helpful/available with any concerns. It is relatively secluded, but that is what we were hoping for. Would definitely go back and stay there again on my next trip to Scotland!”

“I loved this place! Everything was fantastic. My room had the largest bed I have ever seen. The place was spotless. Great hot water, big shower with an amazing rain head. Loads of room. Fluffy towels. Nespresso machine.i wish there had been shampoo, conditioner and lotion. I find that shower gel is not a great shampoo. The temperature in the room was fine for this time of year and the windows open but I wonder if that would be acceptable in summer. I did not use the steam room but it’s a nice……

“Clean, mostly comfortable room - the pillows were the only let down. We had a really lovely evening meal in the pub and very good breakfast. There was an unpleasant smell of smoke in the hallway outside our room which was likely from the cigarette bin immediately outside. ”

“Stayed here with my husband and 2 kids (5 and under). The room was spacious and clean. Parking was convenient. Breakfast had minimal items which was in line with expectations from past reviews (milk, cereal, porridge, bread, jam, coffee). My only issue was the shower, the way it is heated doesn't provide flexibility to get the temperature correct (3 settings of cold, luke warm, burning hot). We only stayed one night so it was fine. ”

“Stayed in 4 highlands hotels. This was hands down the best food and most modern rooms. Downsides were dinner service was very slow and rooms too warm. The latter could be a problem in summer. ”

“The hotel is a few minutes walk from Mallaig train station, and the ferry terminal. There are two supermarkets and a few restaurants around the village so that one can easily get refreshments. I was amazed that the hotel is in a delicate traditional wooden decor, and has a relaxing garden terrace. I also enjoyed the window view a lot! The room was clean and it’s reception was excellent. I strongly recommend anyone who plan to visit any Hebrides islands, give the hotel a chance,.”

“Perfect kings room, staff is very helpful and patient even experiencing massive power outage due to the severe storm. Breakfast is very nice and offers good grab and go breakfast.”

“We had a wonderful view from our room once the weather cleared up. Dinner reservations book up fast so I recommend booking in advance if you plan to have dinner there. The pub that is attached to the hotel was great. All staff were very friendly and helpful. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay there and wouldn’t hesitate to return. ”
