Great Apartment and location

We stayed here the middle of June and loved our apartment. It was super clean and modern and the location is fantastic. We were picked up at the station by the owner and taken to the apartment with a bottle of wine waiting for us, you can't ask for more. The owner is very personable and responded quickly. When we visit Sicily again, we will stay here for sure. You can walk everywhere from here and it's very safe. We were only here for 4 nights, I wish we'd have stayed 1 week. Sicily was one of the highlights of our 3+ week adventure in Italy

Not very comfortable, white towels no longer white, mould in shower, apartment smelt of damp. However, owners were delightful and very helpful, picked us up and ferried us to apartment.

L’appartamento è arredato bene, la posizione è al centro di Ortigia, la gentilezza del proprietario è veramente fantastica. L’unica cosa di cui mi lamento è la pulizia, purtroppo non rispecchiava i miei canoni di igiene e la casa è molto umida.

Some suggestions are in order.

1st Emanuela was very good and helpful. But some issues should be addressed. The wifi did not reach the bedroom; you should get a better modem/router. It's not good that you can't read in bed! There should be some booklet of information. Instead there was a worthless, for me, one sheet dictating rules IN FRENCH. I am fluent in English and Italian, but not French. Emanuela gave verbal instructions at check-in, but you must realize that check-in is probably a time after travel which can be hectic. FOr instance, the taxista dis nor know the street and this caused some difficulties. The microwave did not work. Only because there was some problem with the plug. That shouldn't happen. The heater was a mystery; a booklet explaining it would be helpful. There was an unlabeled wall switch that turned off the hot water, which I mistakenly turned off looking for a light switch. Emanuela had warned me about that, but I forgot. Having that info in a booklet would be good. Paper or cloth napkins would be good. Good points: the location was good, the bed was fine, the bathroom was good. The kitchen was functional. The history of Siracusa is amazing.

Ottima posizione e luogo molto accogliente

La casa è molto carina, pulita e accogliente e soprattutto gode di un'ottima posizione. Si trova infatti a pochi passi dal mare e dal Duomo di Ortigia. I proprietari gentili e disponibili ci hanno consigliato un posteggio dove parcheggiare l'auto, accompagnato all'appartamento e ci hanno anche regalato una bottiglia di vino. Sicuramente consigliata e dimora del mio prossimo soggiorno in Ortigia.

Loved it!!!

Beautiful clean apartment. Perfect location. Quiet sleep. I would recommend if you are not fortunate to have the caretaker pick you up at the bus stop, save yourself a lot of time and hassle and just spend 10 euro for a taxi directly to the apartment and not initially try to catch the local bus from there. I loved Ortagia and will have the best memories. Highly recommend this apartment.

Magnifique endroit

Nous avons été accueilli par les deux sympathiques propriétaires qui nous ont accompagnés jusqu'au logement depuis le parking qu'ils nous avaient conseillé. L'appartement est très agréable, très bien décoré et à quelques pas de la mer. Les propriétaires nous ont conseillé sur les lieux à visiter. Nous recommandons sans réserve cette adresse.

Giuseppe met me at the bus station and carried my luggage when we had to walk because of heavy traf

The apartment is small but immaculate and very well located. The only issue with it is its groundfloor position, which makes privacy impossible if you open the windows for light.

Spacious apartment, friendly greeting, good location

Gianluca and Giovanni were very helpful and welcoming. They met us at the bus terminal in Siracuse and took us to the apartment, which was spacious, clean and comfortable. They pointed out the local bathing places and shop to us. The apartment is located in a quiet side street within easy walking distance of Ortigia's many excellent restaurants, cafes and tourist attractions. The only reason for the 4* rather than 5* rating is that the apartment has no view and nowhere to sit outside.

Perfect location, spacious, clean and equipped apartment

The location of this apartment is fantastic. The sea is just around the corner along with the Main Street and piazza and the less touristy old Jewish quarter. The apartment is spacious, well equipped and comfortable. Adele's communication was very reliable and helpful. We were picked up at where we left the car and driven to the apartment (permanent resident only allowed to park in Ortigia)

Ideal for Ortigia

Residence Calarossa is right in the heart of Ortigia and has all the facilities we needed. The owner's representative, Gianluca, met our bus from Catania airport and took us to the apartment and made us very welcome. Excellent value for money. Chris & Barbara Robinson, Lymington, Hampshire, UK.

Great apartment in great location!

We enjoyed our stay in this convenient apartment in Ortygia. Everything was spotless and the bed was extremely comfortable. It is obvious that Adele and Flora want your stay to be pleasant. The location is ideal. There is a local bus that takes you around the island and links to Siracusa. The island is charming with the beautiful Doumo, fountains, ancient ruins, and even a swimming platform to swim in the ocean (a short walk from the apartment). We had a wonderful time and highly recommend the apartment.

Trés bel appartement / Appartamento molto bello

Merci à Gianluca pour son accueil (bouteille de vin et biscuits) et sa gentillesse tout au long de notre séjour. L'appartement est très propre, bien équipé et idéalement placé au coeur de Ortigia. Grazie a Gianluca per l'accoglienza (bottiglia di vino e biscotti) e gentilezza durante il soggiorno. L'appartamento è molto pulito e bene aredato situato in posizione ideale nel cuore di Ortigia.

Super appartement bien rénové avec beaucoup de goût et très belle qualité du mobilier et équipements

Nous remercions vivement nos hôtes pour leur accueil chaleureux et attentionné (bouteille de vin rouge et biscuits). Ils nous ont transportées du parking, qu'ils nous ont indiqué pour y garer notre véhicule, jusqu'à l'appartement à Ortigia. L'appartement est idéalement bien situé. Rue très calme. Pas de nuisances sonores. Appartement super chouette. Rénovation très bien pensée. Mobilier, décoration, équipements et linge de maison, tout est neuf et ultra propre. Grand placard dans la chambre pour les vêtements. Literie hyper confortable. Il y a un canapé convertible dans le séjour que je sais être très confortable (lors d'une location d'un studio en Corse). C'est une adresse que nous recommandons fortement. Et Ortigia est très attachante !

Appartamento super consigliato

Abbiamo soggiornato in questo appartamento ad agosto 2016 in coppia; sin da subito il proprietario si è rivelato una persona ospitale, molto cordiale e disponibile ad ogni nostra richiesta. L'appartamento è totalmente ristrutturato e dotato di tutti i comfort necessari, pulito e in pieno centro ma, allo stesso tempo, silenzioso e tranquillo. Perfetto!

Siamo stati in questo appartamento nel cuore di ortigia per 10 giorni dal 6 al 16 agosto! Appartamento curato nei minimi dettagli con tutti i comfort, proprietari super disponibili per qualsiasi chiarimento o informazione. La posizione della casa è perfetta a due passi dal mare e da piazza duomo; il centro di ortigia. Esperienza fantastica! Da rifare!
