"A very nice property that accommodated our large family for a skiing vacation. The location is very convenient to Tahoe ski resorts, and to town activities and dining. The furnishings and finishes are great. Some care in cleaning needed, there was considerable dust/cobwebs on high surfaces that should be addressed (exhaust fan vents in bathrooms are filthy). The owners should also assure snow/ice buildup at entry stairways is cleared, it’s unacceptable to have a 3” layer of ice buildup at the only access point into the house upon arrival (we were never given a garage door code to use). Parking is challenging for large vehicles, learn to backup a steep narrow hill driveway. We had an issue with use of the Tahoe Donner amenities they advertise, the owners had not registered their property for short term rental guests use. The management company indicated they were working the issue, I’d confirm before booking if that’s something of interest you have. "

"My family of 5 (two adults and 3 kids ages 5 and under) had an excellent time in Truckee visiting the snow. There is a huge "green belt" in the backyard that's shared with other neighbors, and we were able to make snowballs, snowmen, go sledding, and we found a couple of igloos to play in.The house was very clean and had all the amenities we needed. It was cold when we got there so it did take awhile to heat up, but after that it was completely fine. I definitely recommend this property for families that want to experience a snow trip with snow right outside your window."
