“Nancy and Scott were very very accommodating, especially as we fell foul of a Calmac glitch which resulted in our being hours behind schedule. We needed to resolve all sorts of things en route by email & text. It was such a relief to arrive to a lovely welcome after a hard day’s slog from the Outer Hebrides. The room was great, well equipped and very comfortable. The bed was so, so comfortable. Then breakfast was not only well presented but also delicious. This is one to return to - or not……

“What a fantastic place. Comfy bed, fantastic shower and a nice big tv. Plenty tea, coffee, biscs and bottles of water in the room. Added bonus, the breakfast room is set up with same level of refreshments, all day, much appreciated after a walk up from the town in the evening. It said in the write up with Expedia that only a continental breakfast is included, this is not the case, a cooked breakfast is also available. The staff are very friendly and helpful. “The building and grounds here are absolutely beautiful. It's clearly been a wonderful place to stay at some point. Having said that, our trip was generally very disappointing. We arrived in the evening, and there were no staff at all to be seen. There was a bar open, with music playing, and no staff. A sign noted to call a mobile number for help. The first number rang out repeatedly. On a second call, a person answered and seemed confused about whether any staff remained at the hotel. Eventually……

“The location was perfect, right at the top with easy access to all of the city. It had an amazing view and was quite quaint. The service was top notch. She greeted us as we arrived and made sure we knew everything about the place and gave us help to find anything else in the city. The room was quite spacious and had an actual King size bed. The shower had its own water thing, and it worked wonderfully. The room was clean and well kept. In the morning the breakfast was very good and had……

“Wow what a welcome. Hosts are so friendly. All the food was hot and fresh. Rooms clean and airy. Close to shops and restaurants. Would stay here again if coming back to Pitlochry. Definitely recommend ”

“Late booking due to funeral at short notice and price was good especially as breakfast was included. Owner was exceptional, extremely polite & helpful. Breakfast was freshly cooked to order and extremely generous & tasty (tables were even laid with cloth napkins). Location also good - just a 10+ min walk to Wetherspoons & town centre after that. Room was comfortable (good comfy bed) but furniture was a bit tired, hence the dropped star. Another bonus was off-road parking at the front. I……
