"This was misleading advertising on Hotels.com. I selected a tent with 2 queen beds and a bunk bed for about R1700. Just before we arrived I got a call from the hosts and let them know that 2 friends would arrive 30 minutes before us. I was told that I would have to pay an additional R790 for them because they charge extra each person over 2. This was not made clear on the app. This accommodation was not worth over R2,500 for the night. Unhappy guests who feel ripped off."

"We had a magical stay in Firefly cabin. It was tranquil with a delightful view. The wood burning stove was essential and perfect. Great location for visiting the nearby wildlife sanctuaries."

The pool was much warmer than our last visit in September 2004! We found Hog Hollow had lost a little of its rustic charm and was more like a hotel. "

"Been to Knysna now on many times, stayed in various types of accommodation within the town, very impressed with this hotel, ideal for walking around town, the marina and it's location is great, ideal for walking to many of the towns restaurants' and bars. Would certainly recommend this hotel. Staff were really helpful, breakfast was fine although there are many cafe's around the hotel should one want any alternative breakfast, although what we had was fine."

However, overall I was quite disappointed, I had expected a proper hotel and a much more luxurious experience given we paid over $500 per night.
