“Good location and close to old town, parking available with limited space. Good breakfast and the attitude of hosts are cool. Hosts didn't allow to extend the parking to 2-3 hours after check out at 1000. Their check in time is after 1500 and the hosts reject the request looks cold attitude. It's the first time we didn't allow the parking extension we stayed in UK for past 5 stops.”

“The hosts Julie and Chris are very nice. Warm welcome is delivered and they will show you the ways to the main attractions!!

“We had a fantastic stay at The Vanguard in York. Set in a residential area, it’s a well-located base just a 15–20 minute stroll from the city’s main attractions.
The interior was spotless, modern and well-equipped. Self check-in was easy, and communication via WhatsApp was smooth and efficient. “Communications before during and after our stay was superb. Our room was spacious spotless and free from any other guest noise. The small treats in the room were a nice touch. The only slight issue was no shower gel in the bathroom so I had to use my wife’s. At least it made me smell sweet . Unfortunately due to our early start we didn’t have breakfast which did smell really nice. We are doing the York 10k event again and will stay here preferably room 14 ”
