"A lovely old property(150 years old) where they have kept some of the original features. I think it is due for an update in a few years but I hope they keep some of the original features. We stayed in the Coastguard cottages which were excellent but connected to the hotel with a covered walkway. The staff were excellent and very obliging. The evening meals were excellent although breakfasts were typical large hotel buffet style.i would still recommend it though."

"The Knoll house hotel looks as though it could do with a lick of paint externally, but inside it is lovely. The food was good however the service on our first evening was rather slow. "Our room was potlessly clean and comfortable. We had such a good sleep as the hotel is positioned within a lovely quiet road away from the centre of town yet close enough to enjoy the restaurants and shops. There was ample parking at the front and rear of the hotel and reception area was modern and tastefully decorated. We would definitely stay at The Orchid Hotel again. It had everything we needed for our stay. Thank you"
