“outdoor stairs were a fun adventure for us with a snow storm, but we made it. We really enjoyed the front porch and heater in there while resting and reading. ”

“They should not be rooming people until the repairs from the tornado damage are completed. The windows are broken, the boarded windows are not sealed so who knows what kind of mold and animal life come through, including bugs. It smells like mold and weed. The water is brown, we had to use water bottles to brush our teeth and wash our hands/face. The towels are stained yellow. It feels gross being there, we left early. I complained to the front desk about the water and they told me “that’s just……

“Nothing for breakfast except coffee. Door on room did not fit well, allowing visible cracks that showed hallway. Sure seems like someone is living there as the food odors were very strong (and not good) at the same time each night. Check-in took too long, and check-out was even longer. People hanging around lobby during check-out made it very strange and the clerk said nothing so I assume they were related. I will NOT stay at this hotel again.”

“This was the second time this year that we stayed at the Essenhaus. Room was clean and comfortable and quiet! Check-in was fast and the staff here is friendly and helpful! We enjoyed the hot breakfast but wish they had granola to go along with the yogurt. We highly recommend The Essenhaus!”

“We haven’t stayed here for a few years and decided to stay here due to unavailability at the other hotels. We will not stay here again. The overall upkeep of the property is not as nice as it used to be and when we got to our room there were stains and crumbs on the comforter. We asked for room service and no one ever came to change the bed. We ended up having to go get the bedding and do it ourselves. The next day we asked that the towels be picked up and changed out. They brought us two towel……

“I didn’t get to stay here. There wasn’t any power at the hotel so they didn’t let me check in nor did they help me find another place to stay. I arrived and the just said,”Sorry””

“We were given a handicapped room that didn’t seen to be for a handicapped person: had to step over the tub for the shower; the toilet was low to the floor with no handles/bars to help pull you up. But that was all.”
