“Every time we come back to the Royal, it never ceases to disappoint. The staff are the people who make this such a special and charming hotel. The warmest of welcomes and we were so well taken care of. Attentive and polite customer services, similar to that of Ashford Castle, that seems to be lost in many establishments these days. The only complaint we had, was that the bedroom was cold even with the small radiator up to its maximum temperature, and the fires had not been lit in the bar area……

“Excellent apartments - spotlessly clean and modern decor . Split level accommodation with courtyard outside. Very nice for in the summer. Bed was comfy. Shower was great. Nice touch with the continental breakfast. Owner was amazing . Willing to spend the time to chat , which made the check-in experience nice. Very knowledgeable of the properties history( old court house) and the local area. Genuinely friendly and helpful. Very central to lots of coffee shops, pubs and dining……

“Everything about this hotel was close to perfect. The Castle itself was outstanding. The photographs dont do it justice. We wish we had booked an extra night to enjoy it for long but we will be back. We used the restaurant for dinner and breakfast and both meals we still talk about.
