“Property was a bit rustic, but an inexpensive option for direct access to Lake Cayuga. Faucet water carried a pungent odor when we first arrived due to high mineral content, but dissipated after use. Septic system was functional. Great internet access given location. Was able to reach Ithaca in about an hour, the Syracuse State Fairgrounds in about an hour and a half. Convenient access to three wineries in a half hour’s drive and a brewpub. Quiet space in a neighborhood of friendly people.”

“Loved the lake a sunset views. Perfect boat and pet friendly property for our lake vacation. Hosts were very accommodating and responsive.”

“Beautiful sunsets on the screen porch! Very nice space for a family.”

“We had a wonderful time. The house was well stocked with the kitchen essentials. The water crafts were excellent and we had fun using these daily. The dock was great to fish from and overall we made great memories!”

“Perfect family retreat to the Finger Lakes. Halcyon Cottage had all the amenities that a family needs for a wonderful stay in the region. The lake views are stunning, the beds are comfortable and the kitchen has all the tools to make lake life everything you could want out of a vacation. The hosts are wonderful and were most helpful with all of our questions in the area. Our family loved having access to the kayaks and paddle boards to spend afternoons on the lake and the fishing was excellent……

“The property was beautiful. We were disappointed because our room, very pricey, was in the basement or Lower Level. It was considered a Garden View in the Wallcourt Hall. There was no garden. The windows were small and high making it hard to even look out. We saw the bottom of the shrubs. The Inn is very nice and sits on the side of the lake. The food was delicious. We were just disappointed with our room.”

“Photos are deceiving. The rooms were dirty, floor and the bathrooms were not cleaned at all. ”

“Staff was great my friend forgot her kindle and they found and saved for us.”

“This is an old-fashioned motel - one floor with parking right in front of your door. We stayed one night for a wedding in the area. The rooms were basic and clean; the bed was comfortable. The price seemed a bit high for what it was, but that may well be because of high demand near Skaneateles on a Saturday night in August. Nonetheless, I'd suggest their considering an update of their air conditioning at some point as it was a windo-type model inserted through the back wall, As such, it didn't……

“The room was clean but the toilet overflowed and we were told that it was ‘late at night’ and couldn’t be fixed. We spent two hours with multiple phone calls and waiting for assistance. All done through a remote box in the lobby. Finally the managers wife came with a plunger, mop and towels. Told there were no extra rooms-not true. Told ‘they’ couldn’t do anything. Breakfast was all sugar-no protein or fresh fruit/food. Registration was through remote-impersonal and slow. I’ve been there……

“Had a great stay, will come back again and recommend to family and friends.”

“The floors were very dirty and there were dead bugs all around. It was really dusty as well.”

“Beautiful property and location, friendly staff and delicious breakfast!”

“Great location and has parking”
