Basic Studio Apt

We stayed for three nights over MLK weekend. The apartment was fine, but definitely in need of some serious renovation/updating. I wish I had read other reviews about the walls being paper thin first. Our issue wasn’t with hearing the people next to us, rather the people staying above us liked to wake up at 5:30am, put their ski boots on and proceed to stomp back and forth across the apartment for hours. They also kept opening and closing the sliding glass door to their terrace, which made a loud scraping sound in our room each time. I mean how many times can you walk back and forth in such a small space or go in and out from the terrace? It was ridiculous and would go on for hours! The cleanliness level was not great either. Dirty, dirty carpet - I mean maybe that’s why people above were walking around in ski boots? Mattresses had stains on them, so I grabbed some extra sheets from the self service housekeeping closet and did another layer. That’s the other thing, communication with property management wasn’t bad, but all the info was sent via email and it was all self service. Probably not a place an elderly person or someone who isn’t great at email would want to stay. So overall, the room does what it says on the tin - 4 people slept there. Comfortably? That’s where there is room for improvement.
