"An elegant period building in a convenient location for the occasion. Breakfast was excellent and plenty of choice at the bar. As expected from a period property, the rooms are a little dated and not huge, but overall good offering good value for money"

"Room was good. Aircon kept it at an acceptable temp (hotel was otherwise on the warm side). Sadly the food let it down. Both of the breakfasts I had were cold. The evening meal (function meal) was also cold. Staff were generally very good, but were let down by breakfast staff on the second day - had to ask twice for poached eggs. A lovely traditional hotel, let down by things which should be very easy to fix. I would return. "

"Lovely, very well equiped cottage in fantastic location. We stayed a week and loved every minute. The bath took a bit of getting used to but was fine once we got the hang of it and a slower pace of life."
