Crossing the field to the restaurant, I was focused on a Parakeet up in the tree, then two Scarlet Macaws flew overhead and a Ringed Kingfisher showed up with a fish, just outside of the restaurant’s balcony! “Hotel Sanctuarium is truly a sanctuary. The property is grand and meticulously cared for. Surrounded by tropical jungles, views of the mountains and the valley below, it was by far the best place to stay for our trip to La Fortuna. And it is only a 7 minute drive to the heart of downtown. There is a restaurant on site with exquisite food. Perfect after a long day of activities so we didn’t have to venture back into town every night to find somewhere to eat.
