“Mountain Escape was a wonderful, relaxing home. The views from just about every window, as well as the deck, were breathtaking, to say the least. The house was tastefully decorated and had everything you need to make your stay enjoyable. Needless to say, we will be back!”

“We traveled to North Carolina for a 50th birthday party. We were in the area to visit one of our favorite local wineries, Jolo. The property was in a beautiful setting with a gorgeous view of the surrounding area and the river. The walk down to the river is a bit of a trek, but once you are there, it is quite peaceful. Working with Shane was easy. He responded to all of our questions and requests. He was close by on the property which was a little unusual. We sort of felt like we moved into his……

“The home was clean and had plenty of space for our group of 10. The hosts were very responsive to our notes and emails. The location was remote but gorgeous. We loved our nights in the hot tub.we were pleased with our stay and would recommend this property to anyone looking for an escape to the mountains.”

“We had an amazing time at this cabin!! It was such a beautiful home with an incredible view. We spent a minority of our time out on the back deck which was incredible. The cabin was clean and had plenty of dishes and blankets etc. The owners were available whenever I messaged them and they gave many resources for things to do in the area!!”

“Very cute and comfortable. If you love being in the woods but close to town it’s perfect. It was a pleasure running into the owner at a brewery performing music. He managed to over hear chatting with the locals realize I was there and came over to say hi. That was really cool and made my stay feel more homie and welcomed. I plan to be back.”

“My wife and I wanted a nice getaway in the mountains and this was a great place to be. It's very secluded and you're truly one with nature. We took a hike down to the river and it was great. I am sure in the spring it would be a wonderful place to fly fish. If you want a getaway PeaceLodge is for you!”

“We were really impressed with the area, the Yurt, and the location of the property. It was very scenic and quite private, while enjoying the bubbling creek from the attached deck and comfy chairs. Inside, it was nicely appointed and very welcoming for my wife and I on our 21st Anniversary get-away from Coastal Virginia. Not many Yurts will have such nice and upgraded amenities like the pellet stove, luxury tub and shower, the loft bedroom, and of course the outdoor hot tub. Perfect for the two……

“This house is beautiful. We found it clean and smelling nice. It was really cool because in the kitchen all cabinets were labeled so it made things easy when needing something. It was fully stocked. The only thing lacking was a TV in the main floor master bedroom but not necessarily a bad thing if you are seeking quiet. This place is in a neat neighborhood with views. If visiting in Winter months a 4 wheel drive is advisable. This house is wooded in the backyard and there are homes on either……

“Stunning views, very comfortable, well furnished home. Beds were super comfortable. The view did not disappoint even with cool weather and strong winds. Clara was so helpful with great directions to arrive and super directions for the hikes. This is a beautiful part of the country. We are already planning to return. Had an amazing lunch at Chateau Morrisette which is surprisingly close. I totally recommend this home and the pictures are true to life.”
