“The Cabot Shores Wilderness Resort was far more dated and rustic than the website or brochure show. I was surprised when we pulled in. We rented a Dome and it was patched up with duct tape. On one night I woke up to water dripping on my face through a patched leak. The Staff onsite were lovely and kind. We were left towels for the hot tub and for showers. The bed in the Dome was comfortable. The outhouse washroom was clean and did not smell. We talked about returning but we would be better……

“Sadly, this was the most disappointing accommodation of our trip. I had dreamed of staying in a dome for years, and after hearing about friends’ luxurious experiences elsewhere, I was really looking forward to this being a highlight of our vacation. Unfortunately, we arrived to a cold dome with very few amenities — just a coffee machine with three pods and paper cups, a bar fridge, and one small lamp that left the dome quite dark at night. There was no running water, and the bathrooms were a……

“Beautiful view, old and outdated yurt and very hot inside. Kayaks definitely should be included within the price.”

“Everything was clean and easy access. The yurt was beautiful and very comfortable. And the individual hot tub was divine. Only “complaint”, not a lot of options for restaurants in the area open for dinner. The Bistro is closed though they offered us to eat the buffet they had for a function for 40/ person. Didn’t seem worth the money. But the accommodations and bathroom/shower were perfect! Just plan to eat before checking in. (Though the pizza place up the road was open, and very good)”

“Group of 3 friends rented a yurt to stay in while we skiied Cape Smokey during the day. Yurt was clean and spacious and the staff were very friendly and helpful.Will be staying again!”
