Volcano activities

Couldn’t beat the location!! House was well equipped and beautiful. Everything you could hope for and close enough to the park that we were able to drive over in the early morning hours to witness Kilauea erupting!

We had a wonderful time at this home. Beautiful interior and views all around. Very private and quiet. Perfect for a nice romatic home for couples.

Big Island tropical paradise

Beautiful home, well maintained, nicely appointed and very close to Volcanoes NP. Would definitely stay here again if we ever return to the Big Island.

Beautiful Spot

Large windows, comfy bed, we really enjoyed this spot after hiking the national park nearby. It’s also close to restaurants, including Lava Rocks (best coconut cake and coconut cheesecake!).

Nice House

Amazing!

We loved our time here! The property is just like the photos and it's so close to Volcanoes National Park. There was an eruption the day we arrived and we were able to get to it in 10 minutes. It's also just beautiful to be surrounded nature. A comment: there weren't any blinds/curtains, so be aware when the sun comes through in the morning.

Unforgettable stay at Maile Treehouse

Maille Treehouse is a beautiful property set in the rainforest in Volcano. Just 8 min to Volcanoes National Park. It truly has a treehouse feel but is modern, cozy with lovely decor. It is well stocked with supplies. 2 bedrooms, 2 bathrooms, whirlpool tub and full size laundry. Adorable lanai to enjoy for coffee, meals or sitting to enjoy the sights and sounds of the rainforest. Easy 40 min drive to Hilo for a day trip. A peaceful retreat after long hikes in the park.

That was a cozy and nicely laid out place, with an artistic touch. It is 10 minutes away from the Volcano park. We absolutely enjoyed staying in this cabin located in the midst of the beautiful fern forest, it was an unforgettable experience for us.

Favorite Place on the Big Island

Maile Treehouse was our favorite place we stayed around the island. Surrounded by trees and plants, truly felt we were in paradise. Both the 1st and 2nd floors have separate entries, we chose to stay upstairs because of the openness and kitchen. Close to Volcano National Park, Volcano is a charming community with local art galleries and tasty food trucks.

Our second wonderful stay

Peaceful and comfortable. A great place to recharge. For two days we didn't leave except to walk along the road and enjoy the flowers and the fowl. Very close to the volcano park but like being tucked into a rainforest. Excellently equiped.

Wonderful!

We loved staying at this property! I went on a 2 night trip with a friend and wish we had stayed longer! Such a beautiful home in the lush rain forest. I definitely want to come back and stay a couple of more days with my family. Just FYI there is a bit of bumpy dirt road to get to the house and the driveway is a bit narrow to get in and out of but no big deal.

Enchanting cottage

Wonderful property with so many lovely design features. Very comfortable and well equipped. Great for exploring the park. You can buy milk and snacks at the volcano store but should bring other groceries. We loved the gorgeous garden and the spa bath! The only downside was we were there during a full moon. It was gorgeous but there are no window coverings and it was like having a spotlight shining on us at night! Highly recommend this property.

Quiet and quirky

It was a truly unique property! Loved all the personalized touches and the serene space. The sleep situation was not ideal for us however. I may have overlooked this in the description, but the second bedroom is a walk outside of the main living space, basically a separate apartment. We have a toddler and were not about to have her sleep out there by herself. Other than that, it was a great spot and super close to the national park.

Relaxing Stay

We ended our Hawaiian vacation here at Maile Treehouse and it was absolutely wonderful. The house was super clean and tidy. The area of Volcano itself is pretty bare, make sure to get anything you need from Hilo before coming to the house.

Cute house in volcano natl park

The property was beautiful…and had everything we needed plus more. My boys loved seeing the chickens running free and I loved my beautiful view from the kitchen window. It is a little off the beat and path, but even arriving after dark, we felt safe.

We loved staying at Maile Treehouse! It‘s made with lots of love and offers everything you need if not even more! The binder with infos on what to do and where to find what was very helpful. Also check-in was super easy! Will miss this amazing place!

Quiet and Clean Place to Stay

Met our needs perfectly for two couples. The property is located close to the National Park which allowed us to visit the site and hike numerous trails. We enjoyed out stay and there are great restaurants (all though limited numbers) which provide a pleasant dining experience. If we went to the area again, would book this location. The two restaurants that met our expectations were Kilauea Lodge and Ohelo Café. Cheers

Wonderful!

Staying here was a wonderful experience. Very convenient being just a few minutes away from Volcano National Park, with lots of privacy (feels like you're in the middle of a rainforest), some good restaurants nearby and everything we needed to cook and eat in as well. Beautiful and comfortable furniture and a unique layout including the separate area downstairs - which the teenagers liked having to themselves. Highly recommend.

Magical Treehouse Getaway

My trip to Volcano was a bucket list item and the treehouse rental made it even more magical. Our party of four adults had a wonderful stay here. It was so quiet and peaceful. I spent hours on the lanai watching the birds. The house itself was built with so much love. Its a beautiful place. I cant wait to book a return visit. Thank you again!

Charming and unique

The treehouse was very comfortable and clean. There were lots of personal touches that make this place very unique and interesting. Situated in a densely wooded area, there is only one neighboring property visible so we felt we had great privacy. If you are coming in after sunset, be sure to follow their directions and have a flashlight you can shine on the mailboxes for the house numbers.
