"The only problems we had was that our room phone was not plugged in, the alarm clock was preset to a very early alarm and the TV was not easy to figure out. Thankfully Reed at the front desk in the evenings was extremely kind and helpful with the TV. The restaurant was closed which would have been helpful the night it stormed as we couldn't go to a restaurant with our dog. Other than that, the resort was beautiful and I highly recommend staying there !"
Cozy riverfront cabin on the New River. Close to Boone and Appalachian State.
10/10 Excellent
"Absolutely beautiful home! Convenient to App state. Close to a sweet little winery- Mill Camp wines and ciders- lovely place to spend an afternoon. We thoroughly enjoyed the deck with a view of the horses just beyond the river. The home is well stocked, has everything you need, many thoughtful details. We will definitely be back!"
Million-dollar view, Hot tub, pool table, foosball, fire pit high-speed internet
8/10 Good
"Wonderful view and lovely property with fire pit and occasional visits from deer and turkeys. Versatile kitchen enables group meal prep and cooking. We had 1 electrical problem, and the response was very fast. Pete was a great host."
Little Creek Cabin, 2 bedrooms, 1.5 Baths (Sleeps 4)
10/10 Excellent
"The cabin was beautiful- 200 year-old timbers, gorgeous wood plank floors, central air, and a very well-equipped kitchen. The back porch has a fan and comfortable furniture. There's a short walk across the "creek" (it was almost dry thanks to the drought) up a path to some chairs that overlook an adjoining Christmas tree farm. We had some issues with the wifi router (had to unplug it, wait 30 seconds, and plug it back in), which the owner helped us with. The host was great- quick responses to any questions we had. We will definitely be back!"
Stay in a Real Log Cabin! - Private Creekside Cozy Creek Cabin with Hot Tub/Wifi
10/10 Excellent
"A lovely, cozy and well appointed cabin off the beaten path! We thoroughly enjoyed our stay over the 4th of the July weekend! We sat along the creek, rocked in the rocking chairs on the porch, and our days were spent in West Jefferson, hiking to the Cascade Falls in Jeffress Park, walking the dogs along the shaded gravel road, and watching the World Cup in comfy chairs. This is a well maintained and well appointed cabin- one of the best we have stayed in! Hosts were very accessible, and gave clear directions to the cabin. 5 Stars!"
