“We had a brilliant stay at the Hygge, it is tucked in the corner surrounded by open countryside, just beautiful. The quietness was appreciated and lovely. The Hygge itself was spot on, well maintained and very clean. We found it to be a very comfortable and practical place to stay. “The property is an 18th century coach house so don’t expect brand new anything, that being said the place is full of character, but the most important part of this inn are the excellent staff, mostly Maureen (Mo) and Gracie. They were superbly professional yet warm and welcoming and made our 2 day stay a pleasure. The food was excellent (well done Becca) with a great choice. The room was spotless and clean as was the bathroom, would definitely go back and probably will. Well done all.”

“The views of the Simonside hills were wonderful The staff were amazing and the food wow thats the best lamb i ever had massive portions cooked to perfection. The cooked breakfast was wonderful again cooked to perfection. I cant wait to go back.”

“The George hotel is historically stunning!! The entire hotel holds so much beautiful character, from the sitting rooms to the restaurant. The restaurant is also gorgeous, overlooking the river and their lovely gardens, not to mention that the food was very much fine dining for a low price.”

“ Nice little stopover on our drive from Speyside to London. Room above the hotel which was clean and had everything required. Food/drink in the bar well priced and tasty and busy place it was too. Service excellent from all staff-no issues at all although busy little town so finding a parking place was the tricky part!!”
