“This is a little gem and excellent value for money. I arrived very late, asked for a couple of bags of crisps to keep the hunger at bay, and was made a beautiful ham sandwich (with crisps!) well after the kitchen had shut for the night. I stayed in room 2 (single room). It was massive for a single, lovely view, complimentary water, great tea tray and clean and comfortable. As a single woman, I felt very safe here (did not worry about the car either) and the staff couldn’t have been nicer.……

“Stay was lovely, just some odd elements which were a bit strange! Make sure you arrive in good time to check in early, and double-check what the morning process is for leaving - main pub remained locked and egress was through the rear fire escape - noone in sight so left key in room. The room was lovely - really well laid out, roomy, and clearly well-thought out; lots of little things that made the place really nice. Weak spot was the bathroom - doesn't have a proper door. Shower was also dirty……

“for location you cannot fault this Hotel. ideally situated for Stratford within easy walking distance of most sites including the church that holds Shakespear's Tomb. the room was a bit basic but functional and clean. the bathroom is good size and you get some complimentary toiletries and tea and coffee. It would be handy to have the wifi details in the room and if you havent been to the area before maybe a pack of info. ”

“Loved Woodstock. Excellent small Town to stay and very near to Blenheim Palace. B & B was good overall. Great breakfast. Room could have been a little more plush - more basic than I thought it would be. Same with bathroom and it felt cold in the bathroom. But overall enjoyed our stay”

“Great short stay. Host was attentive enough to keep you at ease without creating a fuss. Room was beautiful and spotless. Lovely little touches like the bedside chocolates and fresh milk in the mini fridge. We had a deluxe room and en-suite and was well worth the additional pay. Breakfast was beautiful, plenty of choice and all fresh while overlooking the garden. Couldn’t fault the stay. Will definitely be returning when next in the Cotswolds.”

“This is a spacious, very clean and very well equipped barn in a beautiful and peaceful location. It is not far from Warwick and Henley on Thames, and there is a selection of places to eat out nearby. A very enjoyable stay.”
