"Basically nothing in the unit worked. Chairs were rickety and felt unsafe to sit in, none of the windows were in their tracks so you couldn't open them without them falling out, the bathroom fan didn't work, there was evidence of water damage in basically every room, and the central HVAC was both exceptionally loud and struggled in very mild heat. The cherry on top is these people refuse to rent to locals for some bizarre reason"

Top West Side Hotel Reviews

Hyatt Place Chicago Medical/University District

10/10 Excellent

"Our flight was delayed and we didn’t get to the hotel until super late. From the moment we arrived to checkout, the front desk staff was incredibly kind and helpful, especially the night staff. She made sure we were all set during check in. The room exceeded our expectations, the breakfast was great, and the amenities were super convenient. The location is also nice."

The Hoxton, Chicago

8/10 Good

"The hotel is a great location in the West Loop! The room was very clean and had a great view. The downside is that the room and bathroom were incredibly small. Thankfully we were only staying for one night, so we did not have an abundance of stuff with us. The gym was also small. The price was high for the size of the room and amenities. If we weren’t going to a wedding close by, we would have chosen other accommodations with more space."

Chicago Parthenon Hostel

10/10 Excellent

"Thank you so much for such a great stay! Everything went really well. The place was very clean and perfectly located, with everything easily accessible. The staff were incredibly friendly, welcoming, and helpful throughout my stay. Both the rooms and bathrooms were always clean and well maintained. I honestly have nothing negative to say about my experience. I would definitely come back and highly recommend this place to anyone visiting Chicago! 😊"

Homewood Suites by Hilton Chicago West Loop Fulton Mkt Area

10/10 Excellent

"The staff was very prompt and accommodating, and they were able to change our room to one with a bathtub. The view from our room was spectacular, and all of the amenities were very good. We also found the location was perfect for a family wedding we were attending in Chicago."

The Neighborhood Hotel-Little Italy

10/10 Excellent

"We loved this property and our stay here! Even though we had a difficult time actually reaching a real person prior to our stay, once we did, everything from there went smoothly. Our hotel room was like an apartment. It was spacious, nicely decorated and well appointed. It had everything we needed. Paid parking is $30/day and was about a block away. We loved the Little Italy neighborhood! We recommend this hotel and would definitely stay here again. That being said, it would have been helpful to have an introduction video of how this hotel's process works as non-host hotel. That was new to us."
