Cheltenham Winchcombe Folk and Police Museum Hotels

"Archers was a perfect place for our family group of 8 to holiday in the picturesque village of Winchcombe. The spacious kitchen, dining room and lounge room were all decorated beautifully and fitted out with all we needed to be comfortable . The garden was wonderful for the children as they ran around playing with their new Sudeley castle swords and watching the brook flowing past. The pretty bedrooms all had ensuites attached. We loved walking up to the castle with free entry and the children spent many happy hours at the adventure playground there. The steam train nearby was also enjoyed."

"Breakfast was served in the bar atea, and rather cramped. Food choice was reasonable. Didnt find the staff too welcoming or friendly. This pub has live entertainment so can be very noisy, if staying there. Rooms q cold, especially in the mornings when no central heating was on. There was a plug-in electric heater, however. "

"Can't fault this cottage. Spacious, calm setting, gorgeous walks on your doorstep, shops for essentials a few mins away, owners very responsive (they live next door, are very unobtrusive but also came round immediately when we needed help with the TV!). Beds very comfortable, hot water on demand, plugs and lamps everywhere they're needed (not always the case in holiday lets), very sharp knives for cooking (i usually bring my own), toiletries, welcome biscuits and prosecco, tea/coffee, the list goes on! They've thought of everything. Highly recommend."

"We got married at Sudeley Castle and this was our base for the bridal parties to stay. It was perfect and had loads of space for all 14 of us to get ready. The welcome pack of tea/coffee and biscuits was much appreciated."

"Beautiful property right in the centre of town with plenty of restaurants cafes and pubs all around. Wonderfully equipped with everything needed and everything thought of including high chairs and cots Property was nicely heated throughout our stay We had absolutely no issues here and were lucky enough to meet the very accommodating owner Liz. Cant recommend enough and would definitely return"

"Dated, clean cottage in a good location in the middle of Winchcombe.In the description, guests with mobility issues need to be alerted that this cottage would not be suitable due to very, steep staircase to the sleeping area .Night storage heaters for heat …."
