「We didn’t stay. We when arrived, instead of a room in the guest house, we were expected to stay in a tentlike structure. In addition, the bathroom facilities were outdoor showers and commodes that required a climb up a set of stairs. Luckily we were able to secure a room at another facility.
The owner supposedly requested a refund for me but I haven’t heard whether this has been approved.」

「The communication with the host was excellent, and they helped us with a number of requests including a little early check-in and switching from heat to cooling due to our preference for cooler sleeping at night. The house is very tastefully renovated with high quality, and the beds very comfortable! The house is a duplex and the owner has a policy of no noise after 10 pm. So if quiet is a priority for you, it’s somewhat dependent on the neighbors cooperating. 」

「Easy check in, snacks and water were a nice touch and much appreciated. This was my first experience with VRBO or any other platform like it. The house was pretty clean overall and the electric fireplace was great given that the first night was in the low 20s. Good communication from the owner as the refrigerator/freezer wasn’t on when I arrived and the freezer had defrosted. For my 2 night stay there was only one wash cloth and no hand towel. I didn’t spend more time than sleeping and getting...

「Host messaged me after booking and told me his place was actually unavailable but would not cancel my reservation because he would get charged by vrbo. Very inconsiderate considering the time it takes to get refunded by vrbo - I am still waiting for my refund after long conversations with them. He essentially passes on the fee to me in doing this given the cost of my time to obtain this refund. Do not recommend. 」
