the stay came with breakfast and dinner every day. and really good breakfast and dinner too. breakfast was paired with tea service on the way to the dining area. dinner was paired with free chocolate and sparkling wine. the hot springs were amazing. private onsen available too. friendly staff. surprisingly easy to get to.

We stayed at Sanjiro for one night on the last day of 3-day weekend during foliage season. Staff was very very very thoughful. The view from the room was magnificent. Enjoyed a wide variety of japanese mushrooms.

I recently stayed at "Kappa no Yado Ryokan Sanjiro" in Zao during my trip to Sendai. Overall, it was a wonderful stay, and I highly recommend this inn! First off, our room was incredibly clean and tidy, which made for a really comfortable stay. Cleanliness really makes a difference when you're trying to unwind from travel, and they nailed it. Plus, I was pleasantly surprised that the TV in the room had Netflix and other streaming services! It was awesome to kick back and watch a movie at night, just like I would at home. But what truly stood out was the exceptionally warm hospitality from the staff. Every time we passed them in the hallway, they greeted us with a smile and struck up a friendly conversation. Those little touches really made the whole inn feel incredibly welcoming and cozy. Now, about the onsen. I've often found that hot springs don't always agree with my skin, but the one at Sanjiro was super gentle and left my skin feeling incredibly smooth. I could really feel the beautifying effects, and I was so happy with it. A Few Areas for Improvement There were a couple of things that I think could be improved. First, the temperature of the hotel's private bath. When I used it at night, it felt quite hot, almost too hot to really relax and soak in. It would be great if they could adjust the temperature a bit so more guests can enjoy it comfortably. Second, regarding the cleanliness of the onsen facilities. 久々の旅館で本当によかったです。 おもてなしの、感じがところどころにありました。旅館の方みなさん挨拶がありました。 こんなところ未だに、なかったです。 誕生日祝いもあって伺ったのですが、メッセージカードを用意してもらいました。ご厚意で写真と貸し切り風呂のプレゼントを、いただき本当にありがたかったです。 建物が横長で、色々なゾーンがありそこには歴史を感じることのできる写真や文があり、よかったです。 温泉は最高です！全然違いました！トゥルントゥルンになります！ 極め付けは食事！ボリューム満点！一つひとつが手が込んでて、美味しい！ しゃぶしゃぶお腹いっぱいでした。朝食の温泉卵もよかった！ 朝の時間帯はお茶もご馳走になり、ゆっくりできました。 お部屋は、生花が綺麗で、お茶菓子に、大福美味しかったです。 晴れた日の蔵王連山の景色は格別です！ お部屋の壁が薄いのか、音が響きやすく隣の人の声が聞こえるのは悲しかったです、、、 あと洗濯ができればよかったなぁと、 でも、遠くからきてここに泊まれたことは思い出です！！！！！また来たいです！
