We really enjoyed our stay here! The Expedia check-in process was very quick and organized. We enjoyed the wonderful pools and all of the daily activities and the poolside special lunch themes. We ate in all 3 of the restaurants and we liked Zai and Don Gus. We did not enjoy Marco Polo as much, the menu was limited and the portions were small. A big shout out to the great pool-side bartenders (Nelson+Alfredo)! The nightly planned entertainment was very good also. We had a small issue with our A/C being too cold but they came up and fixed it. After 9pm there is nowhere to go to get a light snack everything is closed. They should serve some small snacks in the lobby bar since it is open until midnight and people are drinking and socializing. Overall we had a great stay here and I would recommend this resort.

The room is very nice and spacious, had a great ocean view which was unobstructed. We used all the items in the room and they would clean/replenish daily. We had a little leak in the room and they fixed it the same afternoon that we told them about it. The staff were very attentive and super helpful when asking questions. They gave a lot of recommendations on the drinks/food and local activities. The beach was very clean, nice waves but nothing too dangerous. Pools were beautiful, well kept, and a great temperature. Bars and restaurants were great with a variety of options and staff that were knowledgeable on the menu and made the experience special and welcoming. I would 100% recommend this resort to people who want to relax on vacation.

Moon place has our heart

We had a nice stay here. It is an older resort and it is showing its age. It was clean and the staff was nice. Food was just ok. Mixed drinks were terrible - I tried several. We chose this resort because of its awesome reviews and were disappointed it did not line up with our expectations.

This hotel is definitely not family-friendly, and I wouldn’t recommend it for people traveling with kids. There is a Riu Party Lounge on the premises, which operates like a beach club. Parties are held frequently — sometimes even during the day — and the noise level is extremely high, especially on the beach since the hotel’s beach is located directly in front of the club. Because of this, there are constantly large groups of young, often intoxicated guests coming in and out of these events, which really changes the overall atmosphere of the hotel. If you’re a student or looking for a lively March break vibe, this place might be perfect for you. But if you’re traveling with small children and hoping for a calm, relaxing environment, this is definitely not the right choice.

The rooms were very clean, amazing friendly service. Shuttle on time no issues. No problem with air-conditioning. Matter of fact, we had to shut it off cause it was too cold.
