"When we arrived we had the unfortunate experience of having the elevator drop suddenly making a horrible noise, stuck between floors and then started to vibrate uncontrollably. We hit the alarm and within a minute the elevator dropped suddenly to the main floor. We went immediately to front desk who was standing there with maintenance obviously about to respond to the alarm. It appeared that they knew about the problem but we gave them the benefit of the doubt. However even after our reporting,...

"This is my third time staying at this property, it is super convenient to access the wineries around Hector. It’s nice to drive down to the water and sit on the dock and watch sunset. The facilities are always very clean and well-kept, kitchen was fully stocked beds are very comfortable, this is my new go to place to stay on that side of Seneca lake. "

Staff were very nice and excellent with the tour and breakfast. And their reliability to stock the fire pits. Only thing was the pool was said to be heated but still very cold. The place held on to its roots, but the owners have updated the rooms and they are very comfortable and clean. "Proprietor was attentive to everyone's needs, flexible with schedules, went out of her way to create an atmosphere and provide extras which both made the visit unique. The view of the lake was stunning, the room spacious and comfortable. There was plenty of room for guests to enjoy the whole house without feeling crowded, even if the weather had become unpleasant. Rooms were light and airy, artfully decorated, with good flow. We'll go out of our way to visit again."
