"Love this place. This is the second time we have stayed here."

"The old Hilo Seaside Hotel on the corner of Kalanianaole Highway and Banyan Drive, across Reed's Bay prime location central to Hilo staples like Ken's and The Ponds Restaurants. The hotel itself consists of buildings with a central tropical courtyard or the swimming pool. Small gym, bikes to borrow, a mediation and common area. The room was clean and cozy. Much effort made in reducing carbon footprint by having the ability to open windows instead of only air conditioning."

"restaurant open way to late, 9:30 for breakfast. no TV, radio. Trail could use some gravel, muddy, signs to identify plants. "

"What a wonderful surprise this little B&B was. We truly hated to leave. The room was just spectacular being right on a little cliff above the ocean. The hosts were so accommodating and the breakfasts were very good. The room was clean and the area quiet. We can't wait to go back. "

"Great clean quaint lodge. Beautiful outlook in very quiet area. Special touch of fruit and goodies for breakfast and a huge bottle of water daily as water is not potable in the Volcano region. Office located at a nearby store which directions are clearly noted when booking the accommodation. Would definitely stay again. "

"If only we could have stayed longer! We had booking the glamping unit, but because of water issues Theresa switched us to the Bungalow, which was so cosy. She agreed alternative breakfast arrangements as we had to leave early on checkout. We only had time to meet the chickens and ducks at the doorstep, but we saw the donkey and goats sheltering from the rain! I would definitely recommend staying here if you're making a trip to Volcano NP. "

"The staff was amazing. Within minutes of check in, we had our dining mapped out for our four-day stay. The breakfasts delivered to our cottage (discreetly) were very good! We didn’t get to take advantage of their pack lunches for hikes, but will next time. Loved it!"

"The property owners were absolutely wonderful to my husband and myself. We were there celebrating our 29th wedding anniversary and they actually cut a bouquet of fresh flowers to give to us as a celebratory gift. Absolutely stunning. Too bad we couldn’t bring it back to the mainland. I would definitely recommend this place if you’re looking to get away from the hustle and bustle of a busy hotel. The fact that no children are allowed makes it even better. It’s a guaranteed quiet spot for people...

"Hands-down the best place we stayed during our 2.5 week trip to Hawaii! Barry and Jim were wonderful hosts, we were greeted by Barry as soon as we arrived! He helped get us settled in and showed us around the cabin. The cabin comes stocked with breakfast items, coffee, and fresh fruits! It is located close to Volcanos National Park, so it was perfect for my husband and I since we love hiking! The cabin was spotless and the bed was very comfortable! When we go back to Hawaii, we will definitely...
