“I absolutely LOVED my stay at Viajero La Fortuna! The location was amazing and super walkable, with tons of restaurants, shops, and activities nearby. One of my favorite thingd was the weekly activities calendar, which listed all the evening events at the hostel and different experiences you could join. It made it easy to meet people and find things to do! The common areas were perfection, with so many cute spots to sit, relax, and hang out. The kitchen was great, and the pool was a fun bonus.……

“Staff was kind and friendly but the beds are a little uncomfortable with hard to climb ladders. The sheets kept coming off and the entire bed moved when the top or bottom person shifted on rolled over. The toilet was broken and wouldn’t flush so you had to reach into the top water to lift the flap. We had the room on the outside so in the morning you had to climb out the bedroom window to access the kitchen and common area. ”

“Unit is very clean, in good, newer condition. Conveniently located but hard to find as it lacks prominent signage to indicate you're at the right place; and has no "front desk" to check in at when you arrive which is problematic as its just a house in the midst of many others. There is a bar/club nearby that goes til 2:30AM each night. Pack ear plugs. The A/C worked well. Good base of operations for visiting the stites. ”

“The room had the absolute minimum of amenities and the staff would not provide anymore as requested. The bathroom tile work was long over due for replacement and there was a long hole in the wall below the air conditioner. There was no parking and no sign to indicate where the hostel was located. We decided not to stay and the staff and manager refused to refund any portion of the charged 5 day cost. I would recomment avoiding this property completely!”

“Great hostel situated in a nice neighbourhood, 5 minutes walk from the centre including the supermarkets and bus terminal (the centre is frankly not as pleasant as the suburbs). Rooms have secure key codes, and lockers are situated in the communal kitchen which is large, clean and well equipped. Everything was good. Would recommend.”
