Despite the location on a busy road, once inside you’re treated to an oasis of calm and tasteful tranquility. The owner really has created the perfect home from home, a perfect balance between a personal touch and a perfect holiday escape. Communication was excellent too! "

"Owner was very welcoming, room was nice and clean, fresh sheets, clean towels and price was very reasonable. Breakfast was nice enough. Fresh fruit, juice, cereal, yogurts, toast, fresh tea and coffee, more than enough to choose from. Ethel was very helpful and polite.

"Fantastic stay. The most central location you could have in Newport - the bus garage was right next door which took us to all the tourist locations that I would recommend - the needles, shanklin beach, carisbrook castle and the garlic farm.
The guesthouse also has an excellent Thai restaurant downstairs, great food, really delicious and great price.
Charterhouse is located right next to the main high street stores as well as a large Morrisons.
The proprietar was really nice. The place has just started out for a year, so do book your next stay!"
