「We had a great experience! The hotel was lovely, and everything was smooth and comfortable. We really enjoyed our stay and would happily recommend it!」

「Outstanding cleanliness and great and extremely helpful staff. One of the cleanest I’ve stayed in.」

「The property itself is quite good—newly renovated facilities, a convenient location, and a nice free breakfast. It’s easy to see why it has a 9.0 rating and overall, it’s worth it. However, I was assigned a room right next to the ice machine and emergency exit. I checked in late at night and didn’t realize the potential for noise. Unfortunately, the receptionist didn’t mention anything about it, even though I was traveling with kids. Starting as early as 6 a.m., guests began walking around for...

「Room and facility was clean but we have state there several years and they need to update. Friendly helpful staff.」

「Most of the staff we met were very pleasant, but the checkin person was unhelpful. I was unhappy that the hefty “resort fee” had been hidden in fine print, adding significantly to the cost of the room. When I asked why we were being charged such a fee, the check-in clerk’s reply was “we charge everyone” — not a helpful answer. This encounter left a bad impression on me, and while I like to support Colonial Williamsburg, I won’t stay in one of their hotels again. I also think Expedia should...

「Change of ownership has made for positive changes. Beds and linens were really nice and it was cleaner than past trips. Location is ideal if you want to walk to the college.」

「Breakfast buffet was ok. Had the basics. Carpet in room and hallway needs a little love. Stayed in the sweet. Corner jetted tup was a life saver and the room was spacious. Front desk personnel were kind and helpful」

「Everything was great.」

「Our overall experience was good, but the breakfast was very disappointing. There were no hot foods, and other selections were limited. Had to ask for more washcloths and hand towels every day. Asked twice for the shower gel to be refilled. The room and bathroom were very clean. We would stay at a Spark again.」

「Clean room and good breakfast」

「The property needs some updates! The pictures online show an elegant place. The lobby smelled musty, furniture in the room was from the 70's, there was a coffee pot in the room but no cups. The lobby staff was excellent -- best part of the visit.」

「Love it」

「Nathan was amazing her really addressed our needs.」

「Very clean room. Plenty of parking. No issues.」

「Beds and bathroom were clean. However the laminated floor needs to be mopped.」

「Great stay!」

「The fountain at the property’s entrance is nice although dated like the rest of the property. There was no light in the entryway to the hotel room, no bathroom fan, no wash clothes and no bath mat. The room carpet was old and dingy and the bedding was very lightweight. The heater was old and the settings were difficult to adjust. There was also a slight burning smell every time the heater was turned on. The property was nicely decorated for Halloween and the dining area looked clean but the...
