"Fabulous historic hotel with tremendous charm in the heart of quirky Glastonbury. We had a large room with a beautiful four poster bed. The bathroom was modern (except for the separate hot & cold water taps on the sink). I was not comfortable with the intrusive information requests and privacy waivers required to use the hotel Wi-Fi so did not use it."

"I must say the size of our suite was impressive. What was more impressive was the cleanliness of the room. Our super king size bed had a supremely comfortable mattress, the room came with a small kitchenette area which we didn't use and plenty of tea and coffee etc and the muffins were a bonus. The bathroom was large and spotless with a great walk-in shower. Towels were fluffy and soft. Sleep quality brilliant and we would recommend this property "

Having the hotel facilities like the bar, restaurant and breakfast on hand, you still have the option of a fully functional kitchen, lounge to relax and watch TV (World Cup Rugby in our case) and a private terrace to sit out on. "When I went to check in the person behind the counter told me I did not have a reservation. This then began a series of events that caused significant stress. My phone was out of power as was my lap top. I took my lap top to a neighboring hotel where I was able to see I DID have a reservation. That person was not there when I returned but check in was fine. When I eventually saw the person in question he said I must have made the reservation that day with no apology"

"Exceeded our expectations. Spotlessly clean, fantastic facilities, and a fabulous welcome. We stayed in Tufted Owl overlooking the High Street - a bit ‘rumbly’ if a big vehicle went past, but there’s very little traffic in town at night. The noise didn’t affect me at all. Beds were really comfortable and the breakfast was over at The Crown (we were given a breakfast card each) which was amazing. We’re definitely coming back. "

"This is a great hotel to stay in for a nice break in Bath. The location is perfect. When you leave the hotel door it’s a short walk in either direction to get you into the center of Bath. The staff are really polite and were helpful with suggestions on restaurants and things to do. Our room was superb. At the back of the hotel overlooking what I believe is part of the rugby ground. A huge room. Kept nice and clean. We had breakfast on 1 day and it was really nicely cooked. Next day we went to Sally Lunn’s for breakfast to tick things from the’to-do’ list which I highly recommend. A very enjoyable stay."
