Comfortable 2 Bedroom Cottage, Real Home From Home

Ideal base for touring the Isles, east/west coasts and the north. Sitting beside the owner’s home on a working croft, home to sheep, horses and poultry, close to the road leading to the village of Drumnadrochit beside Loch Ness. Inverness, 12 miles, provides city attractions and visitors can enjoy Urquhart Castle on the shore of Loch Ness with cruises, dolphin spotting trips and cycling, with a visit to Culloden Battlefield, Glen Affric and the Great Glen Cycle Way. Shop, pub and restaurant 1 mile. Ground floor: Living room with wooden floor. Dining room/kitchen. Utility room. Bathroom with bath, shower cubicle and toilet. First floor: 2 bedrooms: 1 double, 1 twin. Separate toilet. Wood-burner in living room inc. Second time staying here and it really is a “home from home”. Lovely and peaceful away from fireworks for our border collie who is terrified of them. Our son loved the chickens! Veronica left milk, eggs and biscuits which was so kind. Just a cosy wee cottage surrounded by Autumn colours with everything our family needed. Thank you!

Heerlijk huisje! Uitgebreide keuken en ruime badkamer, zeer goede wifi wat met twee pubers heel handig is! Van alle gemakken voorzien in een prachtige omgeving! Veronica is een geweldige hostess en we werden zeer vriendelijk welkom geheten! Onze hond was ook zeer zeker welkom en heeft heerlijk met Moxy gespeeld! Vanwege storm Floris konden we wat eerder in het huisje waar we heel blij mee waren! Een echte aanrader voor een zorgeloze vakantie!

Wonderful time in the oak cottage

We booked the oak cottage close to Inverness with Veronica for a week as a base to start our trips around the country. Beautiful place, lots of animals around, quiet and clean. The perfect start for our holidays!

Beautiful Cottage

Modern and spaceious cottage on a nice little farm, very friendly host and cute dogs included. The living room is cozy and the kitchen was well equipped. We really enjoyed our stay. Aside from Loch Ness most points of interest are a bit further away so there is not too much to see around but the cottage totally makes up for that.

Charmant cottage avec très bon emplacement.

Super etape de 3 jours dans le cottage de Veronica d'où nous avons pu explorer les environs (loch ness, glen affric...) La maison est grande, confortable et chaleureusement décorée. Veronica est très attentionné et nous a présenté tous ses animaux pour le plus grand bonheur des enfants.

A wonderful, cozy cottage

We spent Christmas in Oak Cottage and it could not have been a more wonderful stay. Veronica was a communicative and helpful host from the get go and really went the extra mile by putting up some Christmas decorations up for us before we arrived. The cottage is just a little bit down the road from Beauly, so it's easy to get to as long as you have a car. The cottage itself is spacious and well-equipped with everything you'd need. You can also say hello to the animals on Veronica's croft which was an extra treat! We wouldn't hesitate to book Oak Cottage again next time we're in the area.

Lovely cottage

This was a really great place. The owner is really nice and welcoming but not in your way. The property has ponies and very friendly dogs that you can interact with or not. The ponies enjoy carrots! The cottage is well equipped, comfortable and welcoming. It’s a great central location for exploring the area. Highly recommended.
