「What a cozy and well-located room in Placencia. Our cabana was right on the beach. The busy and fun bar next door had music playing till midnight, but for us, that was great -- just made it more like beach living. The rooms are in great condition and the staff is wonderful. Santiago keeps the beach and room area in perfect shape and is very attentive. We felt at home, and we could walk the Placencia sidewalk for coffee, breakfast, and night life at all times. 「Very fresh and clean rooms, updated modern decor. Fresh paint, clean! Super friendly staff and very helpful with recommendations. Nice dock for guests to use, great location to walk around. Did not know they had breakfast available, didn’t see any signs or indications of that. Very happy otherwise.」

「Although the hotel doesn't look like much as you enter from the street, once in the door it is beautiful!! The staff is always friendly and helpful. The attached restaurant serves meals all day and the food is great and the staff excellent. The rooms are beautiful and exceptionally clean. The front desk will help with any reservations (cart rental, dinner reservations, air shuttle reservations, water sports) you need. Overall it was a great hotel to book in San Pedro!!」

「We loved our stay at umaya. The beach is awesome. The whole pool area/chairs/dock and set up are awesome too. So great that you can also borrow Kayaks and paddle boards (which we did) to have morning paddles when the ocean is calmer. The room was spacious and clean. The hotel itself is beautiful, the staff helpful and accommodating and the food at the hotel was good as well. There are also many restaurants and a supermarket (10 min drive) close to umaya without having to always make the drive...
