「Great private place to Stay on our way to Big Bend. We’d definitely stay again!」

「We arrived late and left early, but our short time here was great. It was very clean and easy to find with google maps. It was a little tricky finding our building in the dark but the stars are amazing!」

「The property offered a place to rest and recuperate from a long day of hiking. A shower and a place to lay our heads for a good night's sleep. Our room was comfortable and once we figured things out, we had a good stay. This was an interesting layout with a few nuances for "living off the grid"! Overall, enjoyable!」

「If you’re looking for a unique experience and want to feel like a cowboy back in the day, this is it! Please note that you need a truck to get to this place, we had to use the four-wheel-drive on our truck. Don’t come in a car! It’s a good 30 or 40 minute drive to Big Bend from here.」

「We had a great stay at Boca de la Roca. The house is located at the top of the hill with a 360 degrees of amazing views and it is a short drive to the Big Band national park. Being there feels like you are transported into another, tranquil, world. Each of the well-appointed bedrooms has its own bathroom and the kitchen/leaving area is equipped with everything we needed. 「The property provided everything we could have possibly needed and many unexpected extras. The location was wonderful with easy access to Alpine attractions. The hiking trails and the ability to rock hunt were wonderful. The night sky was beyond words.」

「We loved our stay here. It can feel warm when you enter for the first time, but there is some kind of special cooling system. It did make some noise. We preferred the cooling of the night and set the windows open. The kitchen was well equipped. We would have stayed longer if we were not on a schedule. At night we could see many stars. It was romantic.」

「The quaint cabin was very clean and equipped with everything we needed during our stay. The day we arrived the power went out and apparently it impacted a lot of residents. Thankfully, power was restored within 20 minutes. Daryl followed up by calling and checking on us which was a very kind gesture. There aren't a lot of dining options throughout the area, so I suggest bringing your own food. The cabin's fridge is large enough to store a lot of groceries. 」

「The location is amazing and situated in between Big Bend and the Davis Mountains. The grounds are taken care of and it is relatively private and quiet, there were some dogs barking and kids at the next door rental. The bed was decent and it had plenty of room for us and 2 kids. Also, the dark sky is delightful! The reason it doesn’t get 5 stars… The A/C and Heat was broken for the cabin and we were not told until we arrived and let the owner know.
