「Came out to West Texas for a long weekend and this was exactly what we were looking for! The cabin is incredible, it's truly impressive that Jim built everything himself! You get your middle-of-nowhere feel while still being close to the park: 30 minutes to the entrance, another 30 after that to the popular trails. You are also close to Terlingua where they have supplies and restaurants if you need that. But we really enjoyed cooking our own food at the cabin - Jim has everything you could need...

「We loved our stay in the bank for our stop at Big Bend. We drove in after dark and wow! What a surprise when we woke up surrounded by the desert scenery in the old west town! The beds were clean and comfortable. The bathrooms were clean but stained from well bottled water use (as expected). Water was provided for drinking/brushing teeth. Beautiful area! Really cool ranch. We were just there for the night but if you have longer I would highly recommend this place!」

「The RV was clean and comfortable with all necessary items(bath,kitchen,linens) provided. There is a large refrigerator, so you can bring your own food (recommended, as it’s 32 miles to the nearest store or restaurant).The steps up into the RV could be an issue for a person with mobility problems as they are steep. "The location is only 4 minutes drive to Big Bend which is a big plus for us. We stayed there 4 nights, and the host is responsive and keep the trash in our room cleaned every day. The check in and check out thrue texting is also convenient for us because we check in late and check out early thanks to the smart door lock. The layout is practical and in room appliances (microwave, fridge, hair blower) are also help us staying in there for easy breakfast and dinner. Overall, I recommend this place. "
