a great end to my holiday
A perfect end to my holiday. easy to get to from Birmingham airport and back on the motorway quickly the next morning. Friendly, clean, comfortable and excellent cooked breakfast.

Tiny insecure room in an outhouse
Pleasant pub with good pub food, but my room was a great disappointment. It was not in the pub but was in a single-storey outhouse the other side of the beer garden.My room was so tiny the bed only fitted in with about 2 feet around it. The "bathroom" was just a loo, a tiny basin barely big enough to wash your hands, and a squashed shower cubicle which disdpensed only luke-warm water. I had to keep my toothbrush and razor on the floor. It was insecure - a footpath, accessible from the car park, ran past the small window, which had only a broken lock, so I had to sleep with the window closed - and while it might have been acceptable as a Eastern European truckstop or an army barracks, for £108 it was a joke.

Lovely little place
Lovely little pub with rooms, all very comfortable and clean. I was in the annex building which had been tastefully renovated. Everything you might want and a fab breakfast to boot.

This place has seen better days, my room was the smallest ive ever stayed in and felt damp and unclean, very over priced. Food and drink are good, great breakfast. Probably won't stay here again..

Characterful pub hotel.
Great place, individual and full of character. In an ideal world it would have EV charging. Not good if you're expecting a lie-in, it's too close to the airport for that!

Great room. They had a lovely area for smoking. Breakfast was the best breakfast i have ever had. Tea and coffee in room even provided decaf.

Sorry for that, we had a heating engineer here from 9.00am fixing our boiler and valves all day, our apologies if you were not informed on your arrival, like the other guests. I do know the problem was solved and heating back on at 6.00pm. Again, sorry for the inconvenience, on what was one of the coldest days of the year.

A little Gem
This was a little gem. I needed to get as close as I could to the NEC without paying through the nose. I was also arriving late (after midnight) and they could not be more accommodating. The room was spacious and comfortable and breakfast was very good with faultless service. If there was a negative it is what you’d expect from an old property like this …… The floor boards creak but nothing the. owners can do to fix that.

Lovely, cozy 400 year old Inn
Lovely 400 year old pub/Inn/restaurant with very friendly staff. All the quirks of a 400 year old building and very cozy within. Great food and bar area too! Only 4.2 miles from the NEC, will most definitely return!

All good, would go back again and recommend One blip, the kitchens were closed on Sunday, if that information was to hand, I did not spot it They recommended a hotel nearby, not a good meal Great bed, I needed it after a long day at the NEC

Good overnight stop
Great overnight stop, room was small and needed a good clean around skirtings and under bed . Bed was rather bouncy seemed old .Breakfast very nice and great service .

Hi, glad you enjoyed our staff and the food and drink you had. Sorry you didn't appreciate the layout of the room, but unfortunately due to the fact we are a 450 year old listed black beam pub, we have no controls over the layouts and quirkiness of our rooms, which are in the hands of the local listed buildings office.

Staircase up to rooms was steep and upstairs hall cramped, and door to room low, but once in the twin room it was spacious, well appointed and comfortable. Staff very friendly and restaurant very good.

Perfect
A delightful inn with rooms. My room was clean and comfy and the bathroom modern, clean and everything I needed. Wifi worked well. Breakfast was very good.
