“My family and I spent one night over our 4 day adventure in Portland. Our first time experiencing an eco-tourism type of accommodation. It was amazing. We stayed in the Fig Tree hut and all I can say is it is the best room of the house. They are undergoing some renovation but no disruption to our stay. The front desk staff, Tania was pleasant and accommodating with a late checkout. She even took it upon herself to verify if we wanted to place a dinner order to the kitchen prior to……

“The view from the property overlooking the sea was beautiful and phenomenal. The room space was sufficient and clean. What I didn’t like was the fact that to get there, the drive up to the house was very steep and if you don’t know how to handle the drive, it’s problematic. The second thing I didn’t like was that while the property boasted about having a pool, it was only when me and my family arrived we were informed that the pool wasn’t working due to not filtering properly. “We stayed at Jamaica Palace and overall the experience was very disappointing despite a few positives. Check-in was okay, but things went downhill later that night when there was a nationwide power outage. The hotel generator did not kick in automatically, and when it eventually did, our room’s AC still didn’t work. We later discovered that other guests had AC, which made the situation even more frustrating. When we raised the issue at the front desk, we were told the ACs do not work on……

“A very nice place. Room was good as was expected. The entire staff was friendly enough including the manager. There was delightfully unexpected entertainment for each of the 2 nights spent, karaoke and movie nights. Food available during movie night was very good. I particularly enjoyed the light music throughout the day. The property is without an elevator and so I was able to manage my calorie level given that I was on the last floor. I absolutely enjoyed my visit.”

“Sea cliff's property was beautiful and my partner and I have an amazing time on the quiet property. The rooms were clean and the housekeeping came every morning. We do wish the air conditioner was more efficient and cooled the entire room, it only cooled one side. The lunch/dinner was great, it was a little expensive than usual. Free breakfast is included and that was a big plus. The staff was super attentive to our needs and super respectful.”

“Loved that it was Eco friendly. Manager was on site and staff were so accommodating. Property is in the process of being renovated and added to but we were happy and comfortable in our room as it was one that was already redone. Looking forward to our next stay 🙏❤️”
