Filthy!

House was filthy and a dump! Beautiful location! Walking distance to the beach so I want to give a good review but the whole place was gross! Washer and dryer barely worked and the dishwasher didn't work, the fridge stunk, and spare sheets were thrown on the floor of the closet and had blood stains! Clearly they had not been washed. The floor and couch just felt so grungy. The showers didn't drain. We also didn't have enough towels! Not even enough to cover all our guests (which the number was listed on the booking) but definitely not enough for a beachfront property! We had to go buy towels. Would be a great stay just needs to seriously be disinfected, add more towels. Fix the appliance and several safety hazards throughout the house.

Vintage Beach Cottage – Great Location, Needs Updating

Pros:Excellent location — just a 5-minute walk to the beach.Cons:According to Zillow.com, the property was built in 1930, and it appears the last major renovation may have been over 20 years ago.The overall condition of the home is quite worn.The air conditioning units are over a decade old and extremely loud. I had to sleep in a different room because the noise from the AC in the right-hand bedroom was too disruptive.The carpet is noticeably old and stained in several areas.The bottom of the kitchen drying rack is missing, causing water to drip onto the floor.The furniture is mismatched, with visible wear and tear on most pieces.Appliances are outdated, including a rusty refrigerator and fragile utensils that feel like they could break easily.I also noticed the presence of insects, including spiders.The washer and dryer are old; the dryer in particular does not stop automatically when clothes are dry, which poses a potential safety hazard.I have stayed in many Airbnb and VRBO properties across Europe and the U.S., and unfortunately, this listing stands out as one in desperate need of a complete remodel and updated appliances. It did not provide the comfort, cleanliness, or care that guests should expect.When I contacted VRBO to explore alternative accommodations, the property manager called me at midnight to say that previous guests hadn’t complained. However, the listing had no reviews at the time of my booking — a risk I now regret taking.

Beautiful getaway

Home was exactly as pictured, very spacious! The back bedroom off the dining area has THE BEST view! And bonus, there was a circus in town for our trip! Pete was very nice and our communication was perfect! Will most definitely be staying here in the future if we come back to Hull!
