We were able to walk to where we were going. The neighborhood was not the best. The apartment was clean and looked exactly like the pictures.

Great location but a little fuzzy

The proximity of this home to all that Salem has to offer is fantastic. Although the cleanliness and comfortability are mediocre at best. It is in need of some tweaks and improvements… and there was mold growing above the shower :(

Needs updating

Neighborhood is walkable to downtown where the attractions are but it’s a bit rough. Inside is clean but all furniture and bedding etc. is old and needs to be replaced. Mattresses and bedding very used and not comfortable. Only one tv and you can hear everything upstairs and outside that goes on. Light bulbs were burnt out and fire alarm went off so batteries must need to be replaced. Felt like the price we paid was way over what we got. Salem is awesome though, especially in October.

Do not rent this place! Unsafe area.(called the point by locals) window a/c units, that have gaps between windows, it is on the first level so easy to push in. One even looks damaged like they tried to push it in. The beds are low, and old and mattress worn out. The linen and blankets have stains. The toliet literally comes off floor when you sit down. The sink in the bathroom sprays all over. We found someones tag from their suitcase under one of the pillows so room were not cleaned from prior rental group.Although owner seems nice he will not refund you when you contact him about issues so beware.

Chased me back to hotels!

I had to send 3 messages to get the code info to enter apartment. Hair and funk on pillow. Crumbs on counter. No wash clothes for bath or kitchen. Shower with hair and goo stuck on wall. Radiator broke down and leaked. When they are charging as much as 4 or 5 star hotel, I expect better.

Great location

The property was exactly as expected. We enjoyed being close enough to town to walk if we wanted to. Parking would be the only challenge. We lucked out and got the driveway while we were there, but since it is one parking spot for three units, I can see how that might be a deterrent. Alex was great to work with and very responsive with the one issue we had. The beds were a little hard, but everything was clean and Alex provided all the necessities. Just bring your food and beverages and you are ready to go. If we come back to Salem, I would stay here again.

Perfect location to all local attractions

This apartment was exactly what we expected. We booked it for the location. We could walk everywhere we wanted to go in Salem, as well as to the train station. The owner was easy to work with and very responsive. I would definitely stay here again.

Felt like home...

We rented the first floor apartment and it was absolutely beautiful! Very spacious, clean and pleasantly equipped kitchen and bathroom. It felt like home and we wish we had a couple more vacation days lol There's a lot of things to do within walking distance and that was really nice. Especially in the mornings and evenings.

The property is close to everything. Parking is what is is in Salem. The neighborhood is a bit rough but we felt safe enough. If you are looking for quiet this is not your place. Beds were comfortable. Kitchen was lacking if you cook. Plenty of towels and bedding.

Overall Nice Experience

Overall it was fine. Just missing a few essentials: pasta drainer, kitchen dish towels, broom, dust pan, and potholders. It was nice to be able to enjoy our day out and about, then come back to the apartment and cook dinner and relax. Saved a lot of money by being able to cook meals at the apartment.

Big apartment with lots of room

The apartment is a good size, and can accommodate 7 or more people. It is in a neighborhood with frequent police activities. However, we felt safe overall. It was easy to hear a lot of street noise throughout the night since we were on the first floor. The parking for our Toyota Sienna was tricky, since the streets are narrow. The bed sheets were all too small for the mattresses and kept coming off every night. The decoration and wall art is not at all coordinated and the kitchen utensils were not adequate. However, there were plenty of blankets, pillows, and towels. Also, the heat in the apartment was great and so was Alex, who was quick to respond to our requests. Overall a good stay.
