We like staying in Financial District, because it tends to be (a lot) less expensive and it is convenient to a lot by subway—Broadway, Brooklyn, Central Park are all just a couple of stops. And there is more to eat, drink and see within walking distance than just few years ago (Battery Park is a pleasant stroll, had a great cocktail at Fraunces and wonderful dinner and stroll at pier 15). We will be staying here again. "

"If you're looking to explore Brooklyn as a borough, this could be budget friendly option for you. The hotel is brand new, but lacks laundry and has some unsightly workmanship in the construction. Nothing major, just cosmetic. This is a safer working class neighborhood with a 24hr laundry, the Prospect Park Q & B station and a well stocked Western Beef Supermarket nearby. The free breakfast provided is your basic continental variety, but could use more protien options besides yogurt. The AC and in-room fridge stayed cold & there was plenty of hot water in the shower. "
