Brownsville Golf Hotel

"We travel to Harlingen all the time, and this was our first stay in this hotel. The location is great, close to dining options and the highway without being too noisy. Staff was super friendly even when we had some issues with the booking, I truly appreciated their help. Rooms need to be updated a little bit, but they were clean and very comfortable. Our room in particular had a broken oven (door was falling off) which wasn't an issue because we didn't have to use it, and when we pointed it...

"When we arrived at our room we found the toilet not working and when we addressed it to the front desk they said they would go take a look at it but immediately decided to change our room so we didn’t have to wait. I loved their attention to the problem with a fast response. The room was super clean and they serviced my room as requested from the duration of my stay. I was overall happy and will return for future stays. "

"The hotel was very clean. The evening manager was extremely friendly and helpful. The room was well appointed and very large. The negative - my #1 sorting criteria to find a hotel on this trip was to get one with a spa/hot tub. This hotel listed a spa and showed pictures on the website. However, the "spa" was not heated or maintained as a spa. It was described as a "kiddie pool" when I asked if it could be turned on. If you are not providing a spa, you should not list it as such."

"The lady at the front desk was very nice and welcoming. She was very knowledgeable as well. The first room I was given was rough though. The bath tub had cigarette burns all over it, the tub was cracked, and the faucet in the bathroom was covered in what looked like mold. I went to the front desk and she promptly changed my room and came and made sure it was clean with me. "
