“A much better stay than I anticipated!”

“The whole property is run down and not kept properly. The carpets are old and smelly. There’s an old tobacco smell. When we went to the room assigned to us our allergies started acting up and there was no safety lock in the room. It looked like it had been removed. We went back to the reception desk, but nobody was there. Also called the phone that was posted on the door, but no one answered. We just left a message that we were leaving and left the keys in the box. Very disappointed that Expedia……

“The hotel is new with nice high ceilings, spacious rooms and lovely public areas. The location is great for the beach. The staff were pleasant and the breakfast was surprisingly excellent. We had some issues though. The rooms aren’t very soundproof so screaming children across the hall kept us up till midnight. The AC unit in our room sounded like a transport truck and at 8 am construction workers started pouring asphalt and tamping it down right outside our window. Not only could we hear every……

“We had a pleasant stay at Best Western Kincardine overall. One of the highlights was the breakfast, which was a full-fledged buffet with a great variety, including fresh waffles, boiled potatoes, cereals, and a dedicated area for coffee and tea available at all times. Everything was well organized and enjoyable. A special mention to Aman from the morning staff, who was extremely kind, friendly, and helpful. She not only assisted with breakfast but also suggested nearby attractions to visit,……

“Clean room”

“The presidentail suite is definitely "paradise on the beach" as advertised. Unit was well stocked and comfortable--lots of towels, pillows, and even an extra comforter if it got cool. The outside sitting area is wonderful--comfortable Muskoka chair and the beautiful view of the Port Elgin beach and sunsets.”

“I know this isn't a five star property, but the office staff could make some effort. I am tired of staff who treat guests like they're an inconvenience. This could explain why the parking lot was half empty during my week's stay. On the other hand, the housekeeping staff were delightful and very engaging. They made me feel welcome and valued. Also, this may be the first motel in a resort town that didn't have an ice machine. On the positive side, the motel is located on the north end of the main……

“The price for what we got was outrageous. The cabin was clean enough but tired and the place had a musty smell. Some strange guests that made us feel uncomfortable. Location was excellent, accommodation was sub par for the cost.”
