"We have stayed at The Park 5+ times when staying overnite in Highlands. It's a wonderful retreat for dogs and humans and has always been a pleasure. Rooms are clean, comfortable and well appointed. Our dachshunds love it. The ample sized running park behind the property is secure and perfect for your fur babies to explore and burn off their excess energy. Dog toys, treats and bedding are standard. Juices, coffee , cookies and water are free and available 24/7. Our preferred rooms are on ground level and upstairs. "

"For the off season in NC, this was a good deal for a boutique hotel. It is small and quaint. We were in Room 7 which is TINY and has a European bathroom. We were fine but double check that if it’s an issue for you. There’s live music often in the restaurant and our room is directly above it. We liked the music but if you are looking for peace and quiet, it might not be the best place for you. Also, their Sip and Stay discount DOES NOT APPLY if you book anywhere but their website so just a heads up. They don’t explain that on their website or social media. Maggie was great to work with."

"From the first contact with Trista, she was the most amazing host. She supplied SO much information about the area and things that interested us. The property was wonderful with every detail you could think of taken care of. Beds are comfortable (always a concern) and property clean. We had rain twice during our stay, but it didn't dampen our fun while there. We loved the covered porch area and ate our meals there. I highly recommend a stay there - you are made to feel like the most welcomed guest. "

Also, the wood burning indoor fireplace was an added bonus! Loved everything about the amenities and the proximity to downtown."
