You find many medals for sale in Uzbekistan. I had seen the same thing in Kyrgystan. Many date from the Russian battles of WW2.
The view from inside the Kalyon Mosque outwards into the opposite portal is stunning as it catches the morning's sun rays. Here you see a gaggle of Uzbeks and fellow travellers at the entrance. #colorful
