There is a side entrance to platform 1 directly, you don’t need to go through the main entrance of the station, which is a bit further away. There are a few hotels and restaurants nearby. “What a fabulous place! Everything about it was great. The location is just off the tourist centre of Venice, nice local vibe and still walkable to all attractions.
